Founded in 2014, Ibdaa aims at stimulating technology research and innovation at four Palestinian universities: 1. An-Najah National University/ Nablus; 2. Al-Quds University/ Abu Dis; 3. Palestine Polytechnic University/ Hebron and; 4. Arab American University/ Jenin. Ibdaa helps university students in developing their innovative entrepreneurial projects in the ICT field.
Ibdaa is an incubator for students' ideas. Students, individually or in teams, submit their innovative ideas to Ibdaa. Students then undergo professional training sessions, held by Ibdaa, in Business Plan Development, Entrepreneurship, Market Research, Financial Planning, Pitching and Presentation skills and Intellectual Property. These capacity building sessions enable students to determine the feasibility of their ideas and the suitability of their ideas to the market. Together with the students, Ibdaa develops innovative technological prototypes and eventually creates companies out of these prototypes to commercialize them locally, regionally, and globally.
